Transfer Admission

Students who are transferring in from a four-year university with less than 60 credit hours must meet freshman admission requirements (See instruction on right). Students transferring from a four-year university with 60 or more credit hours, or from a Florida community college must satisfy the transfer requirements below. Transfer admission application deadlines can be found here. 

Minimum Requirements for Consideration for Transfer Admission:

  • Completion of 6* of the 8 critical tracking courses prior to first term of enrollment at UF

   Calculus and Analytical Geometry 3

          -  PHY2048    Physics w/ Calculus 1      3 credits
               + PHY2048L**             Physics 1 Lab      1 credit
          -  PHY2049    Physics w/ Calculus 2       3 credits
               + PHY2049L**         Physics 2 Lab      1 credit
          -  CHM2045

   General Chemistry 1

     3 credits
               + CHM2045L**           Chemistry 1 Lab      1 credit

PHY2048 + PHY2048L must be one of the 6 completed critical tracking courses. Also, it is HIGHLY recommended that students finish all 8 critical tracking courses prior to their first term of enrollment at UF.

Although labs are required critical tracking courses, they are not computed in the critical tracking GPA.

Can substitute a Phys. or Bio. Science or any General Education course with a designation of P or B.

 

  • The combined critical tracking GPA must be 2.5 or higher throughout the completion of all 8 tracking courses.
  • No more than two critical tracking courses can be repeated, each having one additional attempt. If the first attempt is less than a C, it will not count in the critical tracking GPA as long as a grade of C or better is earned in the second attempt. Note that a dropped course (W) counts as an unsuccessful attempt.
